Leonardo Da Vinci

The Italian Cultural Center of Maryland in collaboration with Civic Works is commemorating the 500th anniversary of the passing of Leonardo Da Vinci by giving you and three friends the opportunity to build one of Da Vinci’s brilliantly designed self-supporting bridges.

You and your team could even win one of three $250 grand prizes!

Register your team of four students for the middle school, high school, or college division, and get ready to have some fun, friendly competition to determine who has engineering skills worthy of the Italian Renaissance.

No experience is required--just a team of four students eager to enjoy a good time with 2 x 4 lumber boards.

The bridges will be judged according to categories of speed, accuracy, and appearance.

All participants will receive a free commemorative t-shirt, and each division will produce a $250 grand prize winner!

Registration Fee for a Team of Four: $50 (scholarships available - please contact us for details)
